Citrus Pectin-Derived Carbon Microspheres with Superior Adsorption Ability for Methylene Blue
In this study, citrus pectin-derived, green, and tunable carbon microspheres with superior adsorption capacity and high adsorption rate, as well as good reusability toward methylene blue adsorption, were prepared by a facile hydrothermal method without any hazardous chemicals. The materials hold great potential for the treatment of methylene blue wastewater.
متن کاملBiochar from Orange (citrus sinensis) Peels by Acid Activation for Methylene Blue Adsorption
In this work, orange (Citrus sinensis) peels biochar (OPBC) were prepared by one-step H2SO4 activation for Methylene Blue (MB) adsorption from aqueous solution. The physicochemical properties of OPBC were characterized using instrumental analyses such as CHNS-O analyzer, Fourier Transform InfraRed (FT-IR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Diffract...
متن کاملSynthesis of Magnetic Microspheres with Sodium Alginate and Activated Carbon for Removal of Methylene Blue
Based on the adsorption performance of composite microspheres with activated carbon (AC) and sodium alginate (SA), as well as the magnetic property of Fe₃O₄, we designed and explored an efficient strategy to prepare a unique, multifunctional Fe₃O₄/AC/SA composite absorbent (MSA-AC) that extracted dye from aqueous solution. The composite exhibited the following advantages: rapid and simple to pr...
متن کاملAdsorption of Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solutions by Silk Cocoon
This study concerns the performance of cocoons spun by silk worms as a natural adsorbent for removal of Methylene Blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. To study the adsorption process, the effect of various parameters such as contact time, adsorbent dosage, dye initial concentration, and pH of the solution were investigated. According to the experiments, the kinetic data were best described by ...
متن کاملRemoval of Methylene blue by adsorption using Tribulus terrestris activated carbon
A variety of adsorbents are available naturallyrice husk, neem bark, clays etc. that can be used to remove dye from the discharged waste. In this study, the use of lowcost, locally available, eco-friendly and highly efficient adsorbent has been investigated as an ideal alternative to the current expensive methods of removing dyes from wastewater. The removal of the textile dye Methylene blue (MB...
